Greenwood School Board Meeting Starts with Two Presentations

-The Greenwood School Board started their meeting on Tuesday with a couple presentations.Scott Moseley presented his school nature area renovation and education ideas including a shelter, designed and illustrated by Caleb Susa. Everyone is excited about the possibilities for outdoor environmental education opportunities. Amanda Schlough presented her 'Get Your Color on Stampede' walk/run/bike event fundraiser for the playground equipment project on May 13th.
Monetary gifts and supply donations were accepted from Paul/Misty Kaetterheny, the Portage Co Breeders Assoc. and FABTECH. Letters of appreciation have been sent. The board also approved the following volunteers: Jo Elmer, Darlene Fabian, Laverne Gregorich, Nathan Hauge and Julie Smith.
Finally, with appreciation and some regret, the board accepted the retirement notice from Deb McFarlane. After completing 20 years at Greenwood, Deb will begin the next school year but will be working only until September 30th.
