National Library Week, Part 2
Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 -- 11:03 AM
-This week is National Library Week.Jo Ann Gustavson, the Neillsville Public Library Director, explained VCAT and the Neillsville Public Library's involvement with the program.
She said, "The Neillsville Library belongs to the Wisconsin Valley Library Service that encompasses Clark, Forest, Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon, Onieda and Taylor Counties. So, if you come in and get a card from us, you can use it in all those counties."
"Which brings us to VCAT. We joined VCAT in 2011 and VCAT is Wisconsin Valley Library Service's catalog. And it's real easy to us. You can go on it at the library or at home and just put in your library card number and your pin and you can order books, movies, DVDs, music and have it delivered to the library here in town and then we will call you and let you know it's here. We get deliveries on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. And that's really upped our circulation. Our patrons really enjoy that feature."
Coming up on Wednesday, Jo Ann will talk about the circulation numbers for the library.
