Boy Scouts Gearing Up for Scouting for Food Drive
Friday, April 10th, 2015 -- 9:33 AM
-Boy Scouts will be hitting the streets tomorrow to distribute door hangers for this year's Scouting for Food drive and returning on Saturday, April 18th to collect donations. This drive will be focused on a special mission: to stock the newly established Clark County Area Food Pantry and Resource Center in Neillsville. On March 28th, members of the local troop banded together to move inventory from the former emergency food pantry in the Workforce Resource Offices to the new pantry located at 140 W. Fifth Street. Their duties for the afternoon included arranging the food neatly on the freshly washed shelves in preparation for distribution to clients.
Donations from the upcoming drive will help to fill up the shelves and round out the nutritional offerings. Please do not donate expired foods, opened packages, home-canned foods, or prepared meals. Feel free to contact Judy Morrow with questions at 715-743-2885.
