A New Name for a Long Time Clark County Facility, Part 3

-The facility formerly known as the Clark County Health Care Center has taken on a new name: The Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center.Executive Director Jane Schmitz and Admissions Coordinator Jenna Thieme said this is not the first time the facility has received a new name, but with a recent change of address, representatives from the facility thought now would be a good time to change the name to better reflect the services that the facility offers.
The facility is hoping that people will get a better idea of the types of services the county offers with the new name of Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center.
Jane said, "One of our services that we provide, and we have for a very long time, is the rehabilitation area. That involves occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy. People come to our facility very often on a short term basis after surgeries or if they're going through an illness and they need to become stronger before they can go home. We've always had a very strong rehab department, but sometimes that gets lost in the shuffle with all of our other services that we provide. So we felt that putting that out there front and center, it would give people a better idea on part of what we do here."
"By changing it to the living center, we have lots of people who come to our facility also that no longer can live at home or need a place to call home, so we felt living center was a more accurate name then the health care center as we do become their home for a long period of time of their life."
