Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 -- 11:09 AM

-One of the Clark County residents arrested for retail theft after she was caught stealing from the Black River Falls Wal-Mart appeared in court on Monday.

Around 8pm on January 28th, the Black River Falls Police Department was contacted by the manager of the Black River Falls Wal-Mart stating that he believed two people had filled their vehicle with items they didn't pay for. The officer went to the store to get the information and review the security tapes, when he was notified that the van and the occupants had returned. The officer waited in the parking lot while one of the suspects went back into the store.

As the officer was watching, the suspect came back out with another cart filled with items and with the store manager following him. As the manager made contact with the suspect, he began to run across the parking lot. But he and his accomplice were arrested by the officer.

The two suspects involved were identified as Brain Boyer and Debra Terwilliger. When the officer searched their van he found 143 items not paid for. The amount of the stolen items came to $1,834. Terwilliger appeared in Jackson County Court on Monday for an initial appearance. A $1,000 signature bond was set against her and she is not allowed to have any contact with Boyer or Wal-Mart.
