Owen City Council Approves Several Items at Recent Meeting

-The Owen City Council approved several items at their meeting last week.Six sealed bids were received for the 1968 Ford Dump Truck. The council approved the high bid of $2,551.50 to Ronnie Erickson.
A Police Sergeant with Owen attended training for interviewing and interrogation at CVTC and Mayor Steve Heggemeier reported that he and Police Chief Andrew Schade decided there will be no law enforcement posted at the Spring Election on April 7th.
The council also approved a Pay Request to Earth Inc. for $69,918.15 for the Willow Road culvert project and approved to table the Task Order of $8,750 for preliminary design/study for the Main Lift Station #1 and East Side Commercial Park Lift Station until more information is gathered by MSA.
