Name of Driver Killed in Fatal Clark County Weekend Accident Released

-The name of the victim in the weekend accident in Clark County has been released.According to a press release from the Clark County Sheriff's Department, on March 29th, at approximately 9:09am, the Clark County Sheriff's Office received a report of a two vehicle crash with injuries on Hwy 13 and Center Road in the Township of Mayville.
Initial investigation indicates that one vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13 and lost control, spinning on the road and striking a southbound vehicle in the lane of traffic. The driver of the northbound vehicle, 74-year-old Velva Engel of Abbotsford, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The 14-year-old passenger of Engel's vehicle, along with the occupants of the other vehicle, 69-year-old Thomas and Mary Houle from Medford, were taken to the hospital.
Dorchester Fire Department along with ambulances from Dorchester, Abbotsford and Colby responded to the scene along with Clark County and Marathon County Deputies.
The Clark County Sheriff's office, along with Marathon County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Team, are continuing to investigate the crash. It does appear that Sunday morning's icy roads may be a contributing factor to this accident.
