Two Vehicle Accident in Wood County Injures Six

-A two vehicle accident in Wood County Saturday afternoon injured six people.The accident happened around 2:45pm at the intersection of County Highway B and County Highway X in the Township of Wood just west of Pittsville. According to the Wood County Sheriff's Department, a vehicle traveling eastbound on County Highway B failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign to a vehicle traveling northbound on County Highway X.
Six people were injured because of the accident. A 16-year-old girl was taken to the hospital by Spirit Helicopter. A 10 and 12 year old girl were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, the names of the injured will not be released due to age and the Pittsville Fire and Ambulance, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance and Marshfield Spirit Ground and Helicopter assisted with the accident.
