Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting last week.Public Works Director Dave Flynn talked about the usual amount of work done in the city the past couple weeks. The department did equipment and park maintenance, snow and ice removal, sanding, trimming and pruning of trees and bushes, straightening signs, working on street lighting, street sweeping, hauling brush and compost and more.
It was also mentioned that winter and fall decorations need to be removed from the cemetery by April 1st for clean-up. Two employees with the department are alternating weekly at the sewer department. They will take their DNR tests in May. The department picked up their new 1-ton truck on Monday of last week as well.
Finally, Spring Clean Up week, weather permitting, will happen on the North side on April 13th and 14th and the south side on April 15th and 16th. Also, Dave Flynn is in the process of setting up an electronics recycling event on April 17th from 7:30am until 3pm.
