Wisconsin Egg Production Down

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Wisconsin Egg production during February was 118 million eggs, down 11 percent from last month, but up 12 percent from last year. That's according to the latest Chickens and Eggs release from USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service.The total number of layers on hand during February was 5.37 million, down three percent from last month, but up six percent from last year.
Eggs per 100 layers for the month of February were 2,199, down nine percent from last month, but up six percent from 2,080 last year.
