-The Neillsville City Council approved closing some city streets for a car show happening in July.On July 18th, the Motorhead Mafia Car Club will be holding their car show once again. The city approved closing West Seventh Street, West Sixth Street, West Street and the lower city parking lot for the antique car show.
The council also approved the city to fill out a Connect Communities application. Connect Communities is a service provided by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. It provides a multitude of services for communities to help them find ways to revitalize their downtown area. The Neillsville Improvement Corporation will be the driving force behind this program.
There is a $200 annual fee for the program, but it also puts the City of Neillsville in the running to be one of 20 cities selected to be a part of the program. If the city is selected, there is an opportunity to receive some grant funding as well.
