Clark County in the Middle of the Pack for Health in the State

-Clark County ranks in the middle of the pack for health in the state, according to the annual County Health Rankings released by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.The Rankings are an easy-to-use snapshot comparing the health of nearly every county in the nation. The local-level data allows each state to see how its counties compare on 30 factors that influence health, including education, housing, violent crime, jobs, diet, and exercise.
Clark County ranks near the middle for health outcomes (35) and in the bottom quarter for health factors (61). Clark ranks in the top half of Wisconsin counties for physical environment (20). Clark County ranks in the bottom half for health behaviors (49) and social and economic factors (45), and in the bottom quarter for clinical care (72).
For our neighboring counties, for overall rankings in health factors, Chippewa is 35th, Eau Claire is 12th, Jackson is 59th, Wood is 14th Marathon is 18th and Taylor is 40th. In overall rankings in health outcomes, Chippewa is 21st, Eau Claire is 13th, Jackson is 57th, Wood is 16th, Marathon is 22nd, and Taylor is 11th.
