Loyal School Board Approves Several Items

-The Loyal School Board approved several items at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the purchase of cameras for the buses, approved three new policies including Head Lice, Support Staff Person of the Year, and Bus Policy and approved the continued sharing of Choir and Family and Consumer Education teachers with Granton.
The board also announced Loyal's Valedictorian, Travis Becker, and Salutatorian, Brian Karl. Congratulations to those students on their achievement.
The board also held discussions on raising sub pay, research regarding the 40 developmental assets they learned about at the collaborative in-service in Neillsville in August and the district's need to hire a part-time tech person.
Finally, the board viewed a video related to the connection between playing a musical instrument and brain development and listened to a presentation from the WASB regarding strategic planning.
