Police Department Reserves at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council approved the Police Department to spend their reserves at their meeting last week.The council approved the Department to spend their reserves for 3 digital radios for $262.88, pads for AED's for $564.46 and a rifle for $314.46.
The council also heard the Public Works Report. Erik Stinson, the Director of Public Works, reported they had a water main leak near the county garage, the new Case wheel loader & IH truck are working out nicely, the ice skating rink is closed, a silver maple tree was taken down near a residence by a power company, the 1968 Ford can go out for bids and Ovyn was working at Master Packaging last week and could possibly take down the old railroad building if the City would like. The council then approved Ovyn to take it down.
Finally, the council approved to amend the code of ordinances to include the Downtown Revitalization Committee.
