-An 18-year-old student charged in Taylor County Court for a bomb threat that evacuated the Medford High School was sentenced for the incident on Tuesday.

The threat was reported on October 1st of last year, after being discovered on the website Yik Yak by another student. Authorities investigating the incident discovered that the threat was made on a computer inside the school. They used geo-tracking to discover who was behind the incident and found out 18-year-old Jacob Gouza of Athens had sent the threat. He admitted to authorities during the questioning that he did it. He said he was just joking and he was sorry.

Police did sweep the building at the time and no bomb was found.
