Owen-Withee School Board Approves 1st Reading of Policy Series

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved the 1st reading of a policy series at their meeting earlier this week.The board's policy committee met in February and reviewed the 800 series of policies. As part of its policy manual overhaul, the board did the first reading of these policies. The board will do a second reading at the April meeting, at which time they will become official district policy.
The board also reviewed the lawn care services that had submitted a bid to provide the district's lawn care for the 2015 growing season. Norm's Lawn Care was the approved bidder. Their bid of $575 per cutting was not the lowest bid. But after reviewing references of the other bidders, it was felt that they could provide the most stable service.
