Unemployment Up in Every Wisconsin County

(AP) -Unemployment rates are up in every Wisconsin county and major city. The state Department of Workforce Development reported the figures for January.The show unemployment increases across the board for the month. The figures are preliminary and subject to significant revision month-to-month.
Clark County had an unemployment rate of 6% for January 2015, which is up from December's 4.7%, but less than January of 2014's 7.3%. Four our surrounding counties, Chippewa had a rate of 6.3%, 4.6% for Eau Claire, 6.7% for Jackson, Wood had 7.2%, Marathon had 4.8% and Taylor had 6.9%.
The statewide unemployment rate for January was 5 percent, the lowest it's been since August 2008. The national unemployment rate in December was 5.7 percent.
