Youth Options Requests Approved at Granton School Board Meeting

-The Granton School Board approved the Youth Options requests for the next school year.The district had requests from 8 students for the fall of 2015-2016. A total of 18 classes were requested and approved.
An Alternative Open Enrollment Application to attend the Neillsville School District was also approved as was the hiring of Caroline Walters as a Long Term Substitute teacher's aide for the remainder of the 2014-2015 school year.
The board recognized Amanda Eggert, MS/HS Science teacher, for receiving the Fran Zuerner New Science Teacher Scholarship Award. Amanda was recently honored at the Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers Workshop held in the Wisconsin Dells.
Finally, the board approved the Girls' Basketball teams request to attend the State basketball tournament. The girls will attend Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th.
