Man Charged for Injuring Black River Falls Police Officer

-A man is being charged with battery to a law enforcement officer after injuring a Black River Falls Police Officer.The officer responded to the Hardees Restaurant in Black River Falls last week after a customer, 53-year-old Jimmie Linville, refused to leave the building at closing time. Linville kept stating that the Baraboo Police Department had taken everything from him.
After asking Linville to leave several times, Linville became aggressive and, while the officer tried to handcuff him, he pulled away and punched the officer in the head. Linville was subdued with pepper spray and taken into custody.
Linville was taken to the Jackson County Jail and the officer was treated for minor injuries.
