Class III Milk Price Released

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The USDA announced that the February Class III milk price was released at $15.46 per hundredweight. That was down 72-cemts from January's price, and $7.89 below February 2014.

For the year 2014, the Class III price averaged $22.34. Meanwhile, the Class IV price was 59-censt higher than last month's price at $13.82, but was $9.64 less than February of last year.

Last week, the USDA announced that Wisconsin farmers received an average price of $18.40 per hundredweight for their milk in January. The USDA's Agricultural Prices report showed that the price was down $2.40 per cwt. from December, which was the fourth consecutive month to month drop in price--falling $8.20 since September of last year.
