(WQOW) ?A Stanley woman is accused of stealing nearly $50,000 from her employer and its customers.Jeanne Williams worked at the BP gas station in Stanley. Police were called last fall when the manager discovered a discrepancy in a bank deposit. They said Williams admitted to stealing from the store, and overcharging some customers and keeping the extra money.
Williams said she did it because of mounting doctor bills after a four-wheeler crash, but they said she admitted she got a 'rush' every time she stole from the company. Williams is scheduled to be in court next month.
