One Person Dead After a Garage Fire in Chili

-There was a garage fire in the Village of Chili Sunday afternoon resulting in a fatality.According to the Clark County Sheriff's Department, they responded to a report of a garage fire with someone inside on Sunday afternoon around 5pm. When deputies arrived the garage was fully engulfed in flames.
61-year-old Robert Eckrich was pulled from the structure. Attempts were made to revive Eckrich, but, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other agencies responding to the scene included the Chili Area Fire and Ambulance Service, the Granton Fire Department, the Spencer Fire Department, the Township of Lincoln Fire Department and the Marshfield Ambulance Service. The Wisconsin Department of Justice State Fire Marshal's Office has also been requested to assist in the investigation.
