Administrators' Reports and Employment Matters at the Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board heard the administrators' reports and discussed employment matters at their meeting last week.

District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you notes from the Elma Gurney family and Sylvia Luchterhand family, mentioned the Medford Legislative Meeting on March 30th, a letter from the Local Government Property Insurance Fund, a letter from Senator Terry Moulton, an article from the Associated Press and an update on the SAGE Program. He also mentioned an article on school choice programs, an article on student privacy and social media, four Focus articles, a WASB workshop announcement, a notice from CVTC on available board positions, Assembly Bill 32 and the estimated effects of proposed state budget on rural schools.

In employment matters, the board approved the resignation of Stephanie Gurney from her teaching assistant position, approved the retirement of Susan Vornholt from her current teaching position effective at the end of this school year, approved the resignation of Cassandra Craig from her Middle School softball coaching position and approved the hiring of Courtney Poeschel and Robin Harder as co-coaches for varsity softball.
