Charges Filed Against Pittsville Man Who Slammed Into a Squad Car

-Charges have been filed against a Pittsville man who slammed into a squad car after he was pulled over.Authorities were looking for 62-year-old Gary Schwenn of Pittsville. They had been asked to do a welfare check on Schwenn, but they were unable to locate him at his home. He was later spotted by authorities, but Schwenn stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road, reversed, and slammed into the squad car. He attempted to do it multiple times before he finally fled.
Schween was located and arrested and he'll appear in court on March 2nd. He's been charged with 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety and attempting to flee an officer. If convicted of the maximum amount, he could spend 13.5 years in prison.
