Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports

-The Neillsville City Council heard two committee reports at their meeting on Tuesday.

The first was from a Historic Preservation Commission meeting held on February 18th. Fundraising ideas were discussed for 2015. The commission settled on holding a Historic Homes Tour in early December. They also discussed distributing the calendar sale money. The Historic Tour Brochure was discussed and the commission decided to continue working on the brochure with the goal of having it ready to print by early summer. Finally, they approved paying the $40 annual membership to the Wisconsin Association of Historic Preservation Commissions.

Next, the council heard a report for a Heritage Days meeting held on February 19th. The committee discussed beer set-up with representatives from S&S Distributing and heard updates on the Miss Neillsville Program. A Parade Grand Marshall was discussed, but there was nothing to report. The committee was also asked to get two hold sponsors for the golf outing, they've been unable to reach "Decades" for children's games and prizes, set up for Vic Ferrari was discussed, expectations for committee members was discussed and they heard an update on Mormon events and contributions for the 2015 Heritage Days event.
