Clark County Board of Health Looking for Board Members

-The Clark County Board of Health is seeking Letters of Interest from residents who are interested in improving upon the public health matters of Clark County citizens and who are also willing and able to actively serve as a Board of Health member.The Clark County Board of Health and its members are primarily responsible for understanding the public health needs of the community and developing/promoting policy to improve upon those needs through services provided by the Clark County Health Department.
Duties associated with being a Board of Health member include but are not limited to learning about the health status of Clark County residents, learning relevant public health statute, policy-making and not administration, promoting public health policy at the local, regional and state level, linking the community and Health Department, and actively participating in Board meetings.
Interested candidates are being asked to write a brief Letter of Interest in serving as a Clark County Board of Health member and include your name, title, Degrees, employer, why are you interested in serving as a Clark County Board of Health member and examples of developing and/or advocating public health policy. Letters are due at the Clark County Health Department no later than March 20th.
