Former Cadott Girls Basketball Coach Sentenced for Sexual Assault

-A former Cadott Girls Basketball Coach was sentenced for sexual assault in Chippewa County Court Monday afternoon.According to the Cadott Police Department, at the beginning of 2014 they received information from the Cadott School District that the Girls Basketball Coach, Andrew Hungerholt, resigned from his coaching position, citing personal reasons.
Additional information surrounding Hungerholt's resignation led to an investigation revealing his physical involvement with a player on his team, who is under the age of 18. Through investigating it was learned that there were several occasions when Hungerholt and the juvenile female had met in private.
Hungerholt pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a student by school staff. He was sentenced to 3 years' probation and 240 hours of community service.
