Greenwood School Board Members Give Reports about State Convention

-The Greenwood School Board offered several reports regarding a recent convention they attended.Board Member Mark Shain attended two break-out sessions at the convention. The first was a session about referendums and the second was about building use agreements and leases. It was because of that session that the district decided concussion protocols needed to be added to their building use agreement.
Board Member Jerome Krempasky attended a break-out session on school safety and Interim Administrator Mark Lacke attended sessions on hiring practices, compensation plans, spoke with door company representatives regarding high school entrance security options and sought assistance with filling a teaching position that led to the hiring of Tayler Viegut.
Also, Mark Shain attended the CESA 10 meeting. He reviewed the Health Insurance Score sheet and shared it with the board and administration. Focus on Energy was also discussed.
