Electrical Issues Believed to be the Cause of a Minor House Fire Near Black River Falls

-A fire caused minor damage to a home near Black River Falls on Thursday.According to the Black River Falls Fire Department, the call came in Thursday afternoon of a house fire on West 4th Street in the Town of Brockway.
When they arrived, there was smoke coming from the attic. The department was able to contain the fire to the attic and the damage to the home is considered minor.
An electrical issue is believed to be the cause of the fire as the homeowner was replacing a fuse when she heard a loud pop. She called her husband who noticed smoke coming from the attic as he was arriving home. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
