Out of State Field Trips, Course Schedules and More at the Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board approved a family medical leave request.A staff member needs to care for an ailing parent so, of course, the request was approved. The board also approved some overnight and out-of-state field trips. The FBLA will go on their advanced business trip to Minnesota, the state leadership conference in La Crosse was approved for the FBLA and the Lake Sturgeon Bowl Fest in Minnesota was also approved.
It was also mentioned that the building use agreement for the district needs revisions to incorporate a concussion education clause for the leaders of community groups. The board also approved the WASB Policy Services team to do a quick check of Greenwood's Policy Manual.
Also, class size considerations and MS/HS course schedule finalization is still under review by Mr. Fischer, who is looking at whole district options for scheduling not just individuals/schools. And issues of a new phone system were discussed. The topic will appear again at Greenwood's next board meeting after a follow up discussion with Ross Wilson of CESA 10.
