Owen-Withee School Board Hears Administrators' Reports (District)

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting on Monday of last week.District Administrator Bob Houts discussed two articles he had distributed to the board members. The first gave a breakdown of the biennial budget proposed by the governor. While it includes some good news for rural schools like OW, the overall impact of the proposals will have a very negative impact on the district's school funding. The second article showed the impact that the budget proposal will have on state aids for the whole state.
Mr. Houts also mentioned the date of the Medford Legislative meeting which will be held on Monday, March 30th. Board members were asked to check their calendars for their availability and interest. Mr. Houts also distributed to the Board a letter from Senator Terry Moulton and an e-mail from Mark Klabon. Both were responses to the open letter the Board had sent to the area's legislators.
