Owen-Withee School Board Hears Administrators' Reports (Middle/High School)

-The Owen-Withee School District heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting on Monday of last week.Junior/Senior High School Dean of Student Julie VanArk also reported on Parent-Teacher Conferences being held on Wednesday, February 25th from 4-6 PM. Band and Choir students will participate in the Solo and Ensemble contest on Saturday, February 21st in Thorp. Also, Forensics sub-district was held in Neillsville on Monday evening.
Kudos was offered to the seventh grade students. 30 out of 37 seventh graders made the high or merit roll for the 1st semester. FBLA also had their regional competition recently and 6 team members qualified for the state completion in La Crosse.
Finally, the FFA had its regional speaking contest on February 8th and Kyle Bakke took 1st place in the job interview category and moves on to the sectional round. The Stanley-Boyd/Thorp/Owen-Withee wrestling team won the Cloverbelt Conference Wrestling meet recently and Jesse Cwikla was conference champ in the 285 weight class.
