-A Marshfield man pleaded not guilty in Marathon County Court on Monday for a charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.Jason Scheel's arrest was the result of an online sex sting started by the Brown County Sheriff's Department. Scheel was one of over 20 men arrested in the incident.
The purpose of the three day sting was to target child predators. Members of the Brown County Sheriff's Department posed as children on Craigslist and sent advertisements to counties throughout the state. If someone wanted to meet up, that county's department would make an arrest. Scheel pleaded not guilty to the charge on Monday and he'll be back in court in March.
