Memorial Medical Center's Michael Conard Talks QuiqMeds, Part 3

-Memorial Medical Center has introduced the new QuiqMeds Program at their facilities.Michael Conard, a Certified Physician Assistant at the Loyal MMC Clinic, explained when the system was put in, how long he's been using it and patient reaction to the new program.
He said, "They were installed the first part of December and I've been dispensing out of it since I started seeing patients here the second week of December."
"Patients love it. Even patients who are getting their long term medications at one of the established pharmacies, and that's fine; we encourage them to continue to do that, but when they're here and they need something today, you know, you've got your child whose got strep throat and you want to get them on antibiotics right away; if I see them in the morning and they start on antibiotics today, rather than waiting until mom or dad can get to Marshfield or Neillsville to get their medications, they're back in school tomorrow rather than having to wait another full day of being on the meds before they can get there."
"So, it really does help the patient and their family out."
The new program is designed to make things easier and more efficient for MMC's patients.
