Neillsville Chamber of Commerce Recognition Banquet, Anniversary Honors: Gaier Construction Corporation, 75 Years

-The Neillsville Chamber of Commerce recently held their Recognition Banquet at the Neillsville American Legion.The next winner of the Anniversary Honors was Gaier Construction Corporation for 75 years in business. Dr. Greg Foster, the awards presenter for the evening, talked about the history of the company.
He said, "Gaier Construction was started as a home based business in 1939 by Charles and Regina Gaier. In 1962, Charles and Regina's twin sons Harold, nicknamed Duffy, and Gerald, nicknamed Tuffy, bought the business and established Gaier Construction Corporation. In 1977, Tuffy became the sole owner of the corporation when he bought out Duffy's share of the business. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Gaier Construction's reputation has been built on its dedicated service to each and every customer and personal pride in getting the job done right. At their office in Black River Falls, Gaier Construction currently employs 22 workers, with the most experienced worker employed there for 43 years."
Gerald "Tuffy" Gaier said they appreciate everything the area has done for them and all the loyal customers and employees they've had over 75 years.
He said, "I'd like to thank the Chamber for honoring Gaier Construction for 75 years. I'd like to thank the Chamber from the Gaier family because the Gaier family has been around here for a long time. We appreciate everything and all the customers we've had and the loyal employees we've had in the company."
Besides the award presentations, there was entertainment by the Clark County Male Chorus and a delicious meal.
