Greenwood Chamber of Commerce's Annual Dinner Meeting

-The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Dinner Meeting at Parkway in the Pines this past Sunday evening.There were about 70 people in attendance enjoying the delicious meal, listening to the guest speakers and enjoying some comedy from Tom Opelt. The guest speakers included Miss Greenwood Kaitlyn Artac, Aarica Humke and Booker Bredlau of the Greenwood FBLA and Mike Ruff of Clark Electric. Mike talked about the history of Clark Electric and their new facility being built to the west of Greenwood.
The Chamber's featured business was Pioneer Bank and Kelly Paczkowski, a branch representative, spoke to those in attendance. Several directors were also elected to another three year term and the hosts of the 2014 Greenwood Dairy Breakfast received an award.
Finally, the Citizen of the Year Award went to Marty Nigon. Pat Lindner, Greenwood's Chamber Director, said that Marty Nigon, who owns a farm south of Greenwood on Highway 73, is very community minded. He's a good church member and is a part of many projects and does a lot for the community. He's a dedicated, diverse farmer and his family is his number one priority.
