"2-1-1 Day" In Marshfield

Marshfield Mayor Chris Meyer has officially proclaimed February 11, 2015, "2-1-1 Day" in the city of Marshfield.The proclamation will help bring awareness to United Way's 2-1-1 program. 2-1-1 is a free, confidential, easy to remember phone number that connects people to essential community resources, such as: housing matters, food pantries, senior services, volunteer opportunities, and much, much more.
In addition to providing referrals, 2-1-1 tracks callers needs to analyze needs and gaps in services reporting those to policy makers and funders to help ensure the most efficient and effective use of community resources. Last year, United Way's 2-1-1 received approximately 5000 calls for information and referrals and the website had over 28,000 hits.
Referral specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help with information and resources.
