Homestead Credit Application Assistance

The Clark County Aging Department is completing Homestead credit applications, and fuels assistance if they have not been filed yet, at the various Nutrition Centers in Clark County.This service is for folks age 60 and older. If a senior citizen needs assistance with completing simple income taxes, they do have AARP Tax Volunteers assisting us. If interested you must call the Aging Office to schedule an appointment.
Homestead Credit is available to assist people in meeting the rising cost of property taxes and rental payments. Also, if you have taxable income, you may be able to take a medical care deduction.
For next week the department will be at the Neillsville Nutrtion/Senior Center at 11:30am on Tuesday, February 10th and at the Granton Community Hall at 11am on Thursday, February 12th.
