(Emily Van Ort, WQOW) -A Thorp woman accused of breaking several of her newborn daughter's bones is pleading innocent by insanity.Amber Abramczak entered an innocent plea yesterday after a Clark County judge ruled that it is possible she committed a crime.
Doctors said Abramczak's six-week-old daughter had five fractured bones in her arm, leg and foot. Investigators said the woman told them her crying infant upset her, so she grabbed the baby by the arm and squeezed her hard. On another occasion she said the baby's leg kicked her face and she pressed extremely hard on the baby's leg.
Due to Abramczak's insanity plea she must undergo an examination by a psychiatrist.
