Medford Man Sentenced for Arson

-A Medford man was sentenced for arson on Tuesday after pleading guilty to the crime back in November.Back in February of 2013, 36-year-old David Johnson intentionally started a fire in the basement area of his business, the Main Street Pizza and Grill, in Medford.
The building was completely destroyed and neighboring buildings were also damaged. Not only was Johnson sentenced for arson, but the judge also found that his actions could have resulted in the deaths of people who lived in the neighboring buildings. The judge also found that Johnson asked two people to lie for him.
In the end, Johnson was sentenced to prison for 11 years and he owes $154,546.18 in restitution.
