Over $10,000 Raised for Tribute at The Highground

-Over $10,000 was raised for the Military Working Dog Tribute during The Highground's second annual Winter Bowl.The fundraiser, held Sunday, January 25th at Rose Bowl Lanes in Marshfield, benefited the construction of the tribute which will honor the service of our nation's military working dogs and handlers past and present.
The Joe Altmann Foundation presented a check for $300 for the Military Working Dog Tribute. Staff Sergeant Joe Altmann, a Marshfield native, served two tours of duty in Iraq before being deployed to Afghanistan in April 2011. He was killed in action on December 25, 2011 in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
In addition to the exciting raffles and bowling, displays were present with information on military working dogs and the Military Working Dog Tribute. When completed, the tribute will be a permanent part of The Highground Veterans Memorial Park near Neillsville.
