Budget Amendments at the Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard some appreciation for their ice skating rink.A citizen in attendance at the city's meeting on Tuesday of last week commended the public works department on all their hard work in making the ice skating rink on the Mill Pond this year. There have been record numbers of skaters using the rink.
The citizen also inquired about the police door and where it is? The alderman said they'd find out in closed session at the end of the meeting. Another citizen asked about open burning in the city and it was stated that a recreational fire is ok if contained. Finally, she asked who to call when a street light is burned out which is city hall.
The council also approved Erik Stinson to attend the WRWA Annual Conference in March and the Clark County Culvert Seminar, approved amending the 2014 budget $999.49 for the purchase of a garage computer, approved a revision to the Fund Balances retroactive as of 12/31/14 of $160,281.78 and approved to amend the 2015 Budget $34,755.00 for the purchase of a 2007 IH Truck.
