Crash On 1-94 Sends One To Hospital

One man was taken to the hospital after a one vehicle crash on I-94 near Black River Falls on Friday.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 3:40am on Friday, a semi was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway, traveled into the median and hit several trees.

The driver, 41-year-old Thomas Vertein of Rock Springs, Wisconsin, was transported to the Black River Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was also cited for deviating from the designated lane.

The truck was owned by Fed-X and sustained severe damage. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department assisted with the incident.
