Unemployment Rates Increase in Most Wisconsin Counties for December 2014

-The unemployment rate rose in most of Wisconsin's counties and cities for the month of December.According to numbers released by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, unemployment rose in 16 of the state largest cities. It also rose in 64 of the state's 72 counties.
Clark County had an unemployment rate of 5.1% in December ranking us at 42 of 72. That was higher than November's 4.4% unemployment rate, but it's lower than December of 2013's 6.3%.
For our surrounding counties Chippewa had a rate of 5.6%, 3.9% for Eau Claire, Jackson is at 6.5%, Wood is at 5.5%, 4.5% for Marathon and Taylor is at 6.3%.
The state remains at 5.2% for unemployment which is unchanged from November.
