Representative Bob Kulp's Listening Session in Marshfield, Right-To-Work

Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 -- 10:57 AM

-Representative Bob Kulp was in our area on Monday, holding listening sessions for residents to voice their concerns.

One of the first issues brought up was the Right-to-Work bill being considered.

He said, "I think if the unions are giving the kind of value that they say they are with regards to training and those kind of things, they will continue to be a viable organization. Politically, I don't know where that's going to come down. We've heard a number of things, it's the Senate, primarily, that's struggling with the issue because, I believe, in the Assembly would it would probably go through, pretty much right away. But, we're kind of saying, Senate, you figure out what you're going to do and we'll take a look at that."

"The jury is out on whether it would make it a phenomenally better state or a phenomenally worse state. I've got e-mails ranging that spectrum. Some say it would be the devastation of everything good and some say it would be the best thing that happened since sliced bread. I think somewhere in between that is the truth of it. For me, philosophically, I think people should be able to choose where they work."

Representative Kulp was in Granton, Marshfield and Abbotsford.
