Man Found Guilty of Home Invasion in Jackson County

-One of the individuals involved in a home invasion and armed robbery that occurred in December in Jackson County appeared in court on Tuesday.According to the Merrillan Police Department, 18-year-old James Hill and 17-year-old Nathaniel Gunderson went to a house on Hammond Street in Merrillan holding a pistol and demanded money and drugs. Police later arrested Hill and Gunderson and several felony charges have been filed against them.
On Tuesday, Gunderson appeared in court and pleaded no contest, and was found guilty of, theft of moveable property, endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. Another charge of armed robbery had the prosecution deferred for the time being. A sentencing date has not been set at this time.
