Three Men Involved with Clark County Plane Crash Identified

-The man killed and two men injured in a plane crash near Owen have been identified.According to the Clark County Sheriffs Department, they received two phone calls about a plane crash around 10:45am on Monday. The crash occurred near a field by Center Road in the Town of Hoard.
One of the individuals that called was the pilot of the plane, 27-year-old Mark Siegwart. He and another passenger, 41-year-old Nathan Smoot, were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Nathan has already been released while Mark is in stable condition. A third man, Pastor Martin Siegwart and Mark Siegwart's father, was killed in the crash. Siegwart was a pastor at the Boon Baptist Church in Boon, Michigan.
The pilot stated that the plane was beginning to ice up due to the weather so he tried to land on Center Road. A wing clipped a tree on the way down, sending the plane into a ditch before crashing into some trees. The plane was on its way to Minnesota.
The Clark County Sheriff's Department as well as the FAA are investigating the crash.
