Even with the Changes, Neillsville's Police Department is in Good Shape, Part 5

-The Neillsville Police Department has experienced a few changes the past several months, but the transition has been smooth and they continue to offer great services to the Neillsville Community.In order to meet the demand brought on by the changing landscape of communication, Chief Scott Klueckmann created a Facebook page for the Neillsville Police Department.
Chief Klueckmann said, "The Facebook page is pretty easy for a Police Department to set up. Again, with the new demographics, that's the way people communicate now. If law enforcement doesn't get on the technology bandwagon, you're going to find yourself behind. I started it in October and we're well over 600 likes now and, again, people really like it."
"I try to put out relevant information, not only for our city, but our department and the things going on with our department. Different cases that different departments are working in the area. I recently put a stolen vehicle information out on it. It didn't lead to the arrest of the suspect, but the suspect did eventually get arrested in Missouri, but it wasn't through Facebook. But eventually a crime will get solved with Facebook. Other departments are seeing that."
The department has several new initiatives they hope to implement in the New Year.
