Fire at Medford Apartment Complex on Saturday

-There was a fire at an apartment complex in Medford on Saturday.The department received a call, just before 1pm on Saturday, of a fire at the Riverview Village Apartments on the 300 Block of South Main Street.
When crews arrived smoke was billowing from the building and a fire was discovered on the third floor.
The tenant living in the apartment where the fire was discovered was evacuated and the 28 people living at the apartment complex were evacuated to the Medford High School until arrangements were made for housing.
The building suffered fire, smoke and water damage and the cause is under investigation, but no foul play is expected.
