Clark County Schools Forum Brings Awareness to Issues Plaquing Public Education, Part 3
Friday, January 23rd, 2015 -- 11:38 AM
-The Clark County Schools Forum continues to focus on their goals and make a positive impact on public education.Deanna Heiman, Clerk of the Neillsville School Board, talked about the future of the County Schools Forum.
Deanna said, "A couple thoughts here: First, I think expanding our communication network from countywide to statewide is a big leap for us. There are many districts throughout the state that are experiencing the same challenges as Clark County's rural schools."
"Secondly, as you know Riley, the majority of Clark County schools struggle with declining enrollment and the only answer to declining enrollment is economic growth. We look forward to welcoming representatives from the Clark County Workforce Council to our next Schools Forum to share details about their employee video project and how it's building partnerships between business owners and education leaders. That forum will be held on Monday, March 9th, at the Colby School District at 7pm. The public is welcome to attend."
As Deanna just mentioned, the next Clark County Schools Forum is being held on March 9th in Colby and the public is invited to attend.
